Teas

Tea is enjoyed by countless people all over the world.  It originated in China and has grown in popularity to such an extent that it is the most commonly consumed beverage, second only to water.

Did you know that tea also has many health benefits?  It is believed to play an essential role in aiding the healthy function of the human body, and research has shown that some of the potential health attributes of tea include cardiovascular health, cancer risk reduction, immune function and digestive health.

Tea, including varieties such as black tea, green tea, oolong and white tea, all come from the Camellia sinensis plant, and contain flavonoids, which are naturally occurring antioxidants.  Antioxidants work to neutralise the free radicals which are believed to damage healthy body cells and lead to chronic illnesses.

These tea flavonoids may help cardiovascular health by improving cholesterol levels and blood vessel function, thereby reducing the incidence of heart attacks and stroke.  The impact of these flavonoids on reducing free radical damage, could also inhibit growth and multiplication of cancer cells.

L-Theanine, a compound found in tea, helps the immune system to fight infection, bacteria and viruses, by increasing the production of antibacterial proteins, so drinking tea helps your immune system.  L-Theanine has also been shown to reduce mental and physical stress.

Another very important factor in drinking tea, is simply the time taken to relax and refresh oneself.  By taking time to enjoy a cuppa you are being proactive in reducing your stress levels and giving yourself some breathing space in today’s hectic society.

For our shop selection we have chosen Tea Drop teas, as they are committed to sourcing the highest quality tea, packed at origin in small quantities to maintain ultimate freshness.  Their tea is hand picked and hand processed to be as natural as possible and to provide a thoroughly enjoyable tea experience.

About Us!

"It is increasingly difficult to find natural products that work. More and more products are being overly processed, the result being chemically based items that need to have "goodness" added back in.

We've tried different products over the years on ourselves and our family, and this website provides information about the natural ingredients that work"
